What is Body Sugaring?

Professional Body Sugar Epilation is a safe, gentle and effective solution to hair extraction for women, men and children. Advanced Body Sugar Epilation offers numerous unique and diverse benefits.

The most important advantage is very fundamental: the body sugaring hair removal using sugar paste extracts the hair in its natural direction of growth and does so when the hair is still in the early growth stage. This eliminates breakage, unnecessary discomfort, irritation and ingrown hairs while exfoliating dry skin cells.

The result: smooth, beautiful skin, without the discomforts of other epilation techniques

What are the advantages and benefits of Body Sugaring Hair Removal?

100% Natural-Sugar paste contains no chemicals, resins or preservatives; it is hypoallergenic and safe for both genders of all ages, skin types and all hair textures.

100% Hygienic-Body Sugaring is more sanitary. It Hygienic and noncomedogenic. Sugar paste is applied with a gloved hand and a fresh ball is used on each client, meaning no risk of cross of contamination. Sugar is naturally anti-bacterial and contains healing properties. Bacteria do not breed or thrive in sugar paste.

Not Hot-Sugar paste is lukewarm when it applied. So there is never a risk in burning the skin.

100% water-soluble-Body sugaring is water soluble meaning you can easily clean any residue with plain water unlike regular wax.

Can Extract Very Short Hair-No need to shave between sugaring treatments and no need to let your hair grow. It requires only 1/8 inch. Eliminating the long wait between salon visits and customer frustration.  Opposed to waxing which requires 1/4th inch re-growth.

Can Lead to Permanency-Over time, frequent sugaring during the beginning stage of hair growth (Anagen), the follicle wall will begin to weaken. This causes hair to grow back thinner and finer. Eventually the follicle wall will collapse and will stop producing a hair.

It Does Not Stick To Live Skin Cell- Sugaring cannot adhere to live skin cells. Live cells are wet, and because sugar is water soluble, it will not adhere to live cells. It only extract hair and exfoliate the dead skin cells, helping to free ingrown hairs. It also safe to perform treatment on dry itch eczema and dry psoriasis. This means less discomfort to client, and less trauma to the skin. It is gentle enough to go over the same area several times when necessary to extract the shortest and most coarse hair, without causing skin damage or irritation.

It Will Not Break As Many Hairs-Using advanced Sugaring Thechinque, the paste wraps around the hair shaft making it pliable, while seeping below the mouth of the follicle and lubricating the hair to make the extraction more complete and gentle. The hair is eased out of the follicle only in the natural direction of growth, which helps to extract the hair intact. Because of the direction of extraction the client feels little, if any discomfort.

One of the most common problems with waxing is early regrowth due to broken hairs. Waxing can leave 15-30% breakage behind. This problem is usually caused not but the aesthetician, but by the wax used. Since wax hardens on the hair, it has the tendency to break it off at the surface, rather than pull it out.

How is the sugar paste applied?

The true advanced hand method of Sugaring uses a ball of sugar paste. Your technician will use a gloved hand at all times.  Technician will retrieve a good amount of sugar from a jar at room temperature. The sugar paste is molded into the hair follicle, opposite the direction of hair growth. The sugar paste is then “flicked” in the natural direction of hair growth removing the entire hair from the follicle wall. The same ball of sugar is used for entire area to be sugared.

What is the difference between waxing and sugaring application?

With waxing, the wax is applied in the direction of hair growth and removed opposite hair growth. Sometimes, this method does not always remove the entire hair from the follicle but rather breaks the hair off resulting in faster re-growth and ingrown hairs. Body sugaring removes the hair in
the direction of hair growth, resulting in less hair breakage, quicker refinement, and reduced skin irritation.

Is Body Sugaring Painful? Does Body Sugaring hurt as much as Waxing?

Well, we are still pulling hair out from the root. So yes, it is a bit painful but most people find that it is less painful than waxing.
